A Collective Power

Determined to disrupt the status quo, EdLoC drives systemic change through cross-sector collaboration.

Coming from diverse and influential leadership backgrounds in education and beyond, our membership Network is the driving force behind the structural and systemic change we seek.

Aligned by values and fueled by passion, our membership Network is committed to:

  • Growing Together as Leaders: Fostering a deep sense of belonging, EdLoC is a community where members can express their authentic selves, share their own personal and lived experiences, and find support from others. We listen and learn from each other and bring a unique perspective to share with policymakers, civic leaders, researchers, philanthropic leaders, and others.

  • Collaborating as Problem Solvers: Members have the opportunity to collaborate with others online and at curated in-person events, leveraging collective strengths to drive long-term impact and advance multiple solutions to ensure young people of color achieve their vision of success.

  • Advocating for Policy Change: EdLoC enables members to take informed actions and expand their collective influence by keeping them up-to-date and informed on policy developments at all levels.

  • Investing in Each Other’s Work: We invest in each other by highlighting member achievements and and projects across platforms, hosting several curated networking events where values-aligned leaders connect and explore potential collaborations, and facilitating regional and identity-based affinity groups.

EdLoC Programming

  • The Boulder Fund

The Boulder Fund is EdLoC’s multimillion-dollar grant program designed to disrupt traditional philanthropy by placing grants directly into the hands of emerging, innovative leaders of color working across sectors to ensure young people of color have opportunities to build generational wealth and succeed in life.

  • Events and Gathering

Our events and gatherings are where EdLoC comes to you to co-create the conversations that move our Network forward. From regional gatherings and road show stops to book talks and networking events, EdLoC invites members and values-aligned guests to come together in spaces where multiracial solidarity is built, leaders of color are centered, and our collective power is felt.

  • Partnership Support

EdLoC is doubling down on capacity-building and strategic alignment to ensure our members can continue to lead boldly and unapologetically by providing practical tools, expert counsel, and community support so leaders of color can stay mission-driven— even as funding and the political environment shift.

  • National Convening

When leaders of color are in alignment, resourced, and connected, things move. Systems change. EdLoC’s National Convening is where that starts. Held every 18 months in cities around the country, it’s more than just a conference– it’s a space to tell the truth about the challenges and to create bold solutions. A space not just to survive the system, but to reimagine and rebuild it.
