A Harvard-trained educator, Fulbright Scholar, author, and former classroom teacher, researcher, and systems-level leader, Vero has spent more than 15 years creating culturally and linguistically responsive learning environments. Inspired by her own family's journey of reclaiming their heritage language, she is dedicated to ensuring children can strengthen their languages, cultures, and identities while achieving academic success.

Innovation for Learning Fund Project: Bili Biliteracy Initiative

The Bili Biliteracy Initiative is designed to strengthen early biliteracy for PK–2 multilingual learners through culturally sustaining learning experiences that connect school and home. At the center of the initiative is Bili, a bilingual learning app that combines literacy activities, stories, family engagement, and cultural representation specifically designed for multilingual children. Through the Innovation for Learning Fund, Bilingual Generation will expand bilingual content, strengthen educator and family supports, and build an evidence-based implementation model that helps multilingual learners develop literacy, confidence, belonging, and pride in their languages and cultures.
