Dr. Paris Woods
Founder and President, Freedom Unlimited
Paris Woods, EdD, is the founder and president of Freedom Unlimited, a financial education and publishing company in New Orleans, and the author of The Black Girl's Guide to Financial Freedom and The Student's Guide to Financial Freedom. Her work teaches first-generation students and young professionals how to build wealth on an ordinary salary.
Paris has spent two decades in education and nonprofit leadership. She served as Chief Program Officer at StriveTogether, Chief of Programs at YouthForce NOLA, and Managing Director at Good Reason Houston, and she co-founded College Beyond, a New Orleans nonprofit working to eliminate the college attainment gap, which she later led as its executive director.
Paris is a 2018 Pahara Fellow and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Harvard University and a doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin, and she is an adjunct faculty member in educational leadership at Tulane University. She lives in New Orleans.
