Maya Battacharjee-Marcantonio
Chief Program Officer, The Marcy Lab School
Maya oversees the learning experience of all students and alumni at the Marcy Lab School. She manages a team of instructors and counselors to support students in their academic and leadership development. She has devoted her career to centering and uplifting students throughout New York. She started her career on Marcy Avenue as an English teacher and instructional coach at Leadership Prep Bedford Stuyvesant Academy. Since then, she has served as a Director of School Culture, a literacy curriculum specialist, and most recently, a Program Director at Teach For America. In 2018, Maya was selected for the HELM Social Design Studio Fellowship, traveling to Ethiopia to advocate for the rights of migrant youth and women.
