Krystal Cormack
Director of Leader Support and Development
Krystal Cormack serves as our Director of Leader Support and Development. Krystal is a Chicago native who has taught and led in various communities in Mississippi. She started her career teaching elementary school in the Mississippi Delta through Teach For America. Krystal served as the Director of Alumni Leadership Development in Mississippi and Arkansas, focused on school leadership, political leadership and alumni engagement. She led charter school work in Mississippi as the Chair of the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board. Prior to joining EdLoC’s staff, Krystal worked as the State Director of Educator Talent Acquisition at the Mississippi Department of Education. She’s a doctoral student in Education at the University of Mississippi, where her research focuses on the intersection of teacher talent acquisition and social media. Krystal lives in Jackson, MS with her husband, Michael and their three children: Kennedy, Madison and Maxwell.
