Kemba A. Hendrix
Senior Director of Network Strategy and Membership Engagement
Kemba A. Hendrix is a seasoned executive, attorney, and policy leader with more than 15 years of experience advancing equity and strengthening institutions through people-centered systems. She currently serves as Senior Director of Network Engagement at Education Leaders of Color (EdLoC), where she leads efforts to expand and deepen the network of leaders shaping education policy, practice, and advocacy nationwide.
Prior to joining EdLoC, Kemba held senior leadership roles in the federal government, including Senior Advisor to the Executive Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Senior Advisor to the Director at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, and founding Director of the U.S. House of Representatives Office of Diversity and Inclusion. She began her career in education, teaching in Texas and Virginia for nearly a decade before earning her law degree from Howard University School of Law. Kemba is also a proud graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana.
