Dr. Erin Wheeler is a bestselling author, nationally respected success and leadership coach, and higher education expert.

Dr. Wheeler’s purpose of personal development was clearly established as a teen as she assisted her parents’ friends in going to college and preparing for admissions testing. Since then, she has helped hundreds of adults triumph over obstacles and achieve the life they desire through her powerful, but practical research-based coaching strategies.

As a cognitive psychology expert, Dr. Wheeler has over a decade of experience in brain development, organizational development, emotional intelligence, learning, and personal growth. She has used her expertise to improve college completion rates, build successful teams, and develop a new generation of leaders. As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, Dr. Wheeler infuses personalized advice with research-based strategies that help professionals identify their talents to maximize performance in every area of life.

Dr. Erin Wheeler’s exceptional transformational leadership ability, spirit of innovation, and strong work ethic contribute to her being a change agent in college completion and success. Throughout her career, she has successfully led multi-generational teams and worked in people-facing roles and executive positions. Her past roles include STEM Teaching and Learning Consultant, Academic Support Program Manager, and Assistant Provost of Educational Support, Retention, and Student Success, and Executive Director of a Higher Education Non-profit. As a leader, she strives for organizational excellence and a positive, safe, non-toxic workplace culture.

As an entrepreneur, she is the founder of Holistic Higher Education Solutions, a higher education consulting agency, and the founder of the Refinery Youth Project, a non-profit organization that brings experiential programming to rural communities.

An independent author, Dr. Wheeler helps first-generation students develop the right mindset conducive to college success through her books, Geaux Wiser: Secrets to College Success (2019) and Live Wiser: The Ultimate Guide to Adulting Post-Grad (2021). In addition to her books, she is also the host of Woke Wise College Kids, a weekly podcast, where she provides soulful advice on a wide range of topics that relate to the college experience.

Her coaching and leadership expertise in higher education has garnered her national awards such as the Blue Cross Blue Shield Angel Award and the National College Access Network Professional of the Year Award of Excellence, among others.
