Regional Gatherings & Turn + Talk: Denver

We are thrilled to invite you to EdLoC’s Regional Gathering in Denver, featuring our 2nd Annual Turn & Talk plus Affinity Groups meetup.

This event, which will be hosted by our very own EdLoC members Dr. William Anderson, Director of Teaching Education, Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Denver, Kat Ling, CEO, Moonshot edVentures, and Janet Lopez, Senior Director of Policy, Partnerships and Learning, The Denver Foundation will take place on August 17th, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the RTL Foundation.

We’ve intentionally designed a robust program for values-aligned changemakers like you to come together to utilize your broad expertise and backgrounds to drive the structural and systemic change we seek. We’ll kick off the evening with Affinity Group conversations to support connection, dialogue, and resource sharing among members and guests with shared identities and experiences. From there, we’ll come together as a broader community to learn about how politics, policy, and our collective power can influence and shape the economic advancement of our communities from TeRay Esquibel, Executive Director, Ednium: The Alumni Collective, Reyna Montoya, Founder, CEO, Aliento, and Dedrick Sims, CEO, Sims-Fayola Foundation, in a panel conversation moderated by our Chief Policy Officer, Angelica Solis-Montero.

Lastly, we’ll close the night out by “turning and talking” to each other and engaging in a broader conversation about how to further engage in local, state, and national policy work alongside EdLoC. It is going to be a memorable program!

Please mark your calendars and click the link in our bio to RSVP by Friday, August 11th, 2023. We encourage you to invite and bring along a values-aligned plus-one.
