Immigration Reform: Supporting Undocumented Youth (Members Only)

Join EdLoC’s Policy Council, Imm Schools, UndocuBlack, and Teach For America as they share the latest information about federal policy and advocacy efforts to ensure that undocumented youth are provided legal status and a pathway to citizenship. We will also talk to experts about what educators can do to support DACA recipients and undocumented youth during our current highly anti-immigrant climate.

During this webinar, attendees will:

  • Learn about the federal legislative landscape as it relates to undocumented youth and DACA recipients

  • Understand the implications that a lack of a pathway to citizenship will have on the economic mobility of undocumented youth.

  • Learn about ways educators on the ground can support DACA students and undocumented youth in school settings - Preparing for a post-DACA world. How do we support undocumented youth and leaders?

  • Be invited to engage in advocacy efforts to support undocumented youth of color that are currently living in the shadows, so that they continue to fully participate in our schools, economy, and communities.
