A Book Talk with Dr. Paris Woods

Despite earning two Harvard degrees, Dr. Woods had to learn the principles of personal finance the hard way – recovering from a series of early mistakes through intentional study of best practices and wealth-building from leading financial educators in the F.I.R.E. (financial independence, retire early) movement. She is on a mission to ensure that every Black woman and girl has access to the tools needed to achieve financial freedom, and fully live out the meaning behind the notion of being “our ancestors’ wildest dreams.”

Join EdLoC for an engaging conversation between author Dr. Paris Woods and Brendalyn King, Executive Leadership Coach and Listener, as they discuss the history behind the book, including Dr. Woods’s own financial experiences and lessons learned, and key tips and strategies for gaining control of one’s personal finances. Attendees can expect to learn information they can apply to their own financial freedom journey and pass along to the youth and family members following in our footsteps.

All EdLoC Members that register and attend this book talk will receive a free copy of The Black Girl’s Guide to Financial Freedom courtesy of EdLoC.
